Since 2007, this method has also been used in dermatology and aesthetic medicine under the PRP method (Platelet Rich Plasma), which refers to blood plasma rich in platelets. Platelets are blood cells containing numerous growth factors that are released after activation, which stimulate stem cells, accelerating the healing and tissue regeneration process.<br \/>\nIn dermatology and aesthetic medicine, the PRP method is most commonly used to speed up wound healing, reduce scars and stretch marks, as well as for &#8220;skin rejuvenation,&#8221; and more recently for hair growth stimulation. To prepare the platelet-rich plasma, a small amount of blood is first drawn from the patient. It is then placed in a special centrifuge that rotates at high speed, automatically producing PRP \u2013 plasma rich in platelets and growth factors, which is separated from leukocytes and erythrocytes. PRP contains over 20 different growth factors and other protein molecules that promote angiogenesis (formation of new blood vessels), stimulate the proliferation and differentiation of stem cells, fibroblasts, and keratinocytes, as well as accelerate healing and tissue regeneration, and stimulate collagen and elastin production in the skin.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Regenerative PRP Therapy for Natural Hair Growth Stimulation<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Androgenic alopecia, or male-pattern baldness, is the most common form of hair loss in men. The main cause of this progressive hair loss is genetically determined increased sensitivity of the hair follicle receptors to androgen hormones, specifically the active metabolite of the male sex hormone testosterone \u2013 dihydrotestosterone. The current treatment for androgenic alopecia primarily involves the local application of minoxidil and oral administration of finasteride, which have a beneficial effect on hair growth with regular use, but have raised concerns about potential side effects with long-term use. Because of this, the new PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy offers an effective, natural, and harmless treatment for hair growth.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>What does PRP therapy for hair loss treatment look like?<\/h2>\n<p>The use of PRP for hair loss treatment has been in practice since 2007. Hair growth can be seen after 2 months, but the typical visible effects occur within 4-8 months, and the results will continue to improve until the end of the first year following the therapy. There have been no recorded side effects for this treatment, and it can be combined with any other hair growth therapy. Ideal candidates for this therapy are men and women in the early stages of hair thinning, patients with thin hair, and those with diffuse hair loss.<br \/>\nMost patients who underwent PRP treatment showed accelerated hair growth \u2013 thicker hair and stronger hair compared to untreated areas. The beneficial effect of PRP in androgenic alopecia is caused by the action of various growth factors from platelets, which stimulate cell division in the hair follicle and promote hair growth. Growth factors released from platelets act on stem cells in the hair follicle, stimulating their proliferative phase and differentiation, leading to the formation of new hair follicles and promoting the creation of new blood vessels (neoangiogenesis).<\/p>\n<p>The effectiveness of the therapy is clinically proven, but the best results are achieved in individuals with thinning and fine hair who have not experienced significant thinning or hair loss.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is PRP?
